Eloka d’Meir Aneini” The Prayer of Help

The famous words “Eloka d’Meir Aneini” come from a remarkable story in the Gemara. R’ Meir Baal Haness once saved his sister-in-law, who had been taken captive. When he arrived at the gate, the guards demanded a miracle as proof of his holiness. R’ Meir threw dirt toward the guard dogs and cried out:“Eloka d’Meir Aneini — G-d of R’ Meir, answer me!”In that moment, the dogs froze, the gates opened, and he brought her to safety. From then on, these words became a powerful cry for help — a call for protection, mercy, and salvation.Generations later, Jews still turn to this segulah, pairing it with tzedakah and heartfelt prayer, trusting that in the merit of R’ Meir Baal Haness, Hashem will answer.

Ribono shel Olam, in the merit of the holy Tanna, R’ Meir Baal Haness,  whose name is connected with miracles and salvation — 
please shine Your compassion upon me.
רִבּוֹנוֹ שֶׁל עוֹלָם, בִּזְכוּת הַתַּנָּא הַקָּדוֹשׁ ר' מֵאִיר בַּעַל הַנֵּס,  שֶׁשְּׁמוֹ
מְקֻשָּׁר בְּנִסִּים וִישׁוּעוֹת —  הָאֵר עָלַי מֵאוֹר רַחֲמֶיךָ.
As I say the words “Eloka d’Meir Aneini,” 
may they rise before Your throne with purity and strength.
 בְּאָמְרִי אֶת הַמִּלִּים "אֱלוֹקָא דְמֵאִיר עֲנֵינִי,"
  יָעֲלוּ לְפָנֶיךָ בְּטָהֳרָה וּבְכֹחַ.
Answer me with kindness. 
עֲנֵנִי בְּחֶסֶד.
Protect me from harm.
 שָׁמְרֵנִי מִכָּל רָע.
Guide me with clarity. 
הַנְחֵנִי בְּדֶרֶךְ נְכֹחָה.
Send blessing, healing, and salvation. 
שְׁלַח בְּרָכָה, רְפוּאָה וִישׁוּעָה.
Remove worry, fear, and confusion from my heart. 
הָסֵר דְּאָגָה, פַּחַד וְבִלְבּוּל מִלִּבִּי.
Open the gates of mercy for me and for all Klal Yisroel. 
פְּתַח שַׁעֲרֵי רַחֲמִים לִי וּלְכָל כְּלַל יִשְׂרָאֵל.
In the zechus of R’ Meir Baal Haness — 
Hashem, please answer me with rachamim and yeshuah.
 בִּזְכוּת ר' מֵאִיר בַּעַל הַנֵּס —  ה' יִתְבָּרַךְ,
עֲנֵנִי בְּרַחֲמִים וּבִישׁוּעָה.
